Erik Swanson is a Senior Vice President and Partner at Kidder Mathews, advising clients on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and long-term strategies to build and preserve investment value. He has worked in commercial real estate since 2006.
Partnering with Mike King, Erik co-leads an investment brokerage group representing owners in property sales and select buyers in acquisitions and 1031 exchanges. Together, they have listed and sold investment properties exceeding $1 billion in total consideration. Their marketing platform drives broad market exposure, multiple offers, and superior returns for clients.
His work spans investment sales and acquisitions across retail, industrial, office, hospitality, and land assets, with deep experience in 1031 exchanges, retail site acquisitions, development strategy, receiverships, REO, note sales, and complex workouts.
Erik holds a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in marketing and advertising from Washington State University. He is a licensed broker in Washington State and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well as the Kidder Mathews Retail Group and Land & Agribusiness Specialty Group.
